México, D.F., a 2 de septiembre.- Marcela Yarce Viveros, encargada de Relaciones Públicas de la revista Contralínea, y Rocío González Trápaga, ex reportera de la empresa Televisa fueron encontradas muertas la mañana de este jueves 1° de septiembre en un parque de la delegación Iztapalapa en la ciudad de México. Las comunicadoras habían sido reportadas como desaparecidas desde la noche del miércoles.
Según el reporte de las autoridades, alrededor de las 07:00 horas, habitantes de la zona, se percataron de la presencia, a espaldas del panteón San Nicolás Tolentino, de Iztapalapa, de dos cuerpos, los cuales estaban cubiertos por una lona. Ambas fueron encontradas desnudas, con huellas de estrangulamiento y al menos un impacto de disparo de arma de fuego. Según las primeras investigaciones, González Trápaga, quien fue reportera de Televisa y colaboradora de otros servicios noticiosos, era actualmente propietaria de una casa de cambio en el Aeropuerto Internacional de la Ciudad de México.
Miguel Badillo, director de Contralínea dijo que el último contacto que tuvo con Yarce fue a las 21:00 del miércoles, al despedirse de una reunión de trabajo. Sin embargo, una hora más tarde otro directivo de la empresa conversó con ella vía telefónica. “Por la mañana nos llamaron de sus casas, pues no habían llegado. Empezó la búsqueda y nos encontramos con esta noticia”, explicó en entrevista.
El procurador de Justicia del Distrito Federal, Miguel Angel Mancera precisó que aunque no descartan ninguna línea de investigación, existe claridad de que la colaboradora de Contralínea no trabajaba actualmente en alguna investigación periodística que la pudiera poner en riesgo. Agregó que por el momento, se indaga particularmente el caso de Rocío González, quien al parecer realizó una transacción importante en una casa de cambio.
El último registro de un periodista asesinado en la Ciudad de México se remonta a noviembre de 2006, cuando José Manuel Nava, ex director de diario Excélsior fue atacado en su domicilio.
ARTICLE19 expresa sus condolencias a la familia de Rocío González y Marcela Yarce y hace pública su solidaridad con sus compañeros de trabajo.
ARTICLE 19 hace un llamado al Gobierno del Distrito Federal y al procurador Miguel Ángel Mancera para que realicen una investigación expedita que permita dar con los responsables de los hechos y que no se descarte ninguna línea de investigación, incluida la del desempeño profesional de ambas comunicadoras.
Al mismo tiempo, pedimos a la Comisión de Derechos Humanos del Distrito Federal que se instrumenten las medidas necesarias para garantizar la seguridad e integridad física del equipo de la revista Contralínea.

MEXICO: Two Journalists Killed in Mexico City
México., D.F., September 2nd 2011.- Yarce Marcela Viveros, was in the head of Public Relations Contralínea magazine, and Rocío González Trápaga, a former reporter for Televisa were found dead on Thursday morning (September 1st ) in a park in the Iztapalapa Delegation in Mexico City. They were reported missing the previous night.
According to the police report, around 7:00 am, neighbors noticed the presence of two bodies behind the Pantheon San Nicolás Tolentino, Iztapalapa, which were covered by a tarp. Both were found naked, with signs of strangulation and at least one impact of gunshot. According to preliminary investigations, Trápaga Gonzalez, who was a reporter for Televisa and other news services partner, owned a currency exchange point at the International Airport of Mexico City.
Miguel Badillo, director of Contralínea said the last contact he had with Yarce was at 21:00 on Wednesday as she was leaving a meeting. However, an hour later, another company executive spoke with her by telephone. “In the morning we received a called from her family informing she never arrived home that night. We tried to found her and then we heard this awful news,” he explained during an interview.
The attorney general of Mexico City, Miguel Angel Mancera said that while they were not ruling out any line of investigation the collaborator of Contralínea was not currently doing any specific journalistic investigation. He said explained that in the moment, the authorities are specially investigating the case Rocío González, who apparently made a large money withdraw that afternoon.
The last known case of a journalist killed in Mexico City dates back to November 2006, when José Manuel Nava, former director of Excelsior newspaper was attacked at his home.
ARTICLE 19 expresses its condolences to the family of Rocío Gonzalez and Marcela Yarce and made ??public their solidarity with their colleagues.
ARTICLE 19 calls upon the Mexico City Authorities, especially upon the Attorney General Miguel Angel Mancera to conduct an immediate investigation to disclose the identity of the perpetrators and the circumstances in which these hideous acts took place, and not to rule its possible link to the journalistic work of Yarce and Contralinea Magazine.
At the same time, we urge the local authorities and the Local Human Rights Commission to implement the necessary measures to guarantee the safety and physical integrity the staff of Contralínea magazine team.
